GQ x Northern Grade Pop-up Shop

This past weekend I had the chance to visit the GQ x Northern Grade Pop-up Shop in DUMBO, Brooklyn. It was an awesome day from the start considering the beautiful weather we had that day. The event was focused on American Made Menswear (Noble, Taylor Stitch, Rogue Territory, Billy Reid and Giles & Brother) to name a few brands that were present. All of the brands brought killer pieces and accessories that gave you the chance to meet the designers behind the brands.

At the event, I had a chance to visit the Giles and Brother table to purchase a bracelet. When I finally picked the one I wanted, a man was there hand monogramming the cuff to my liking.

Events like these are great for smaller brands to expose themselves to a physical crowd rather than being an “internet-only” brand.

Old Spice - Hair That Gets Results!

When it comes to clothing, I have the option of mixing shirts, pants, shoes and accessories to coordinate with the weather or my mood. But there is one thing I don’t like to change… my hair style. Its the first thing I take care of after I shower and the first thing I look at in the mirror when I try a new shirt on. Its important to me. Old Spice has been turning boys into men for 75 years! It is without a doubt that their styling products are for everyone. (That cares about their hair of course.)

Here are few of my favorites:

Spiffy Sculpting Pomade Moderate Hold and Matte Finish, for hair that’s reworkable, again and again and again and again…and then again. I prefer to use the Spiffy Sculpting Pomade in between the days I do not wash my hair. It allows to me to re-wet my hair and fix it up in between my busy schedule.

Unruly Texturing Paste – Medium Hold and Textured Finish, for hair that just wants to mess around. Natural, casual and relaxed like you just got out of bed all day long.  Perfect for Sundays that you just want to look relaxed but not so relaxed.

Cruise Control Forming Creme – Natural Hold and Shine, for hair that doesn’t try too hard because it doesn’t have to. Relax and take your foot off the gas – your hair’s in the driver’s seat. I absolutely love this one. Who doesn’t love a natural look! I tend to use the Cruise Control Forming Creme when I dress up or have an event to attend. It gives my look a little contrast between a shirt and tie and my hair style.

Why you should get it too?

  • You want a product that you can rely on and will never fail on you whether you are styling your hair for a party, date or interview.
  • You’ll get the attention you’ve been looking for!
  • Old Spice offers products for any length of hair, shape or style.
  • You don’t want to be that guy with the standard hair product.

Old Spice Styling Products range from $6.99-$7.99. Visit their website for detail about new products or information about their brand. (Link)
